31 Nights Of Horror V, Night 24: Misery

Three sentence review:

I love that legendary RomCom director Rob Reiner made Misery and I love that 26 years later it still is considered to have one of the most iconic and memorable scary movie scenes of all time. I am of course talking about when national treasure and shero Kathy Bates shatters James Caans’ ankles with a sledgehammer while he’s shackled to a bed to keep him all to herself. Bates won an Oscar for her incredible performance as Annie Wilkes, and James Caan claims he’s been asked how his legs are doing by random people “more than one hundred thousand times”.
