31 Nights of Horror VII, Night 5: Boone Hall Fright Night
A lil more than three sentences review:
I’m in Charleston, SC this week both for work and visiting my brother and his family. I love seeing my nephew and niece since I don’t get to hang out with them more than a few times a year. Being Auntie Halloween, I brought them fun spooky buckets filled with Halloween goodies ranging from sour gummy bats to temporary tattoos. They both liked the slime best.
Today my work obligation ended at noon so I took the opportunity to drive to DB’s Cheesesteaks to see its gigantic mural for the new Halloween movie. It was awesome.
Tonight I went to Boone Hall Fright Night with my brother, sister-in-law and their super fun neighbors. The attraction has four haunts: an indoor maze called The Farmhouse, a haunted hayride through the woods, and two outdoor mazes – one through a legit cornfield. My favorite was the Farmhouse. Despite my passion for horror movies, I actually do not do well at haunted attractions. I screamed bloody murder. I was impressed by their large props. A mega huge rat scared me pretty good.
The scariest part of the night were the lines, which felt like herding cattle if the cattle were hundreds of obnoxious 14 year olds. It is really weird seeing teenagers smoke cigarettes. I thought this was the generation who was gonna end smoking?!
Boone Hall Fright Nights was fun for what it was. I’ve been to better and I’ve been to worse. They did have a pretty stellar DJ though!
